Shelfie by Shelfie is a fun book tag created by Beth at Bibliobeth. The idea behind the tag is to share a picture of any shelf of books you would like and answer ten questions about those particular books. Check out Beth’s recent Shelfie by Shelfie!

Sorry for the background on this photo, but with a hurricane looming literally at my front door, I was trying to maximize the natural light yesterday! I did a past TBR cart Shelfie, and this is an updated one. The top shelf is includes the physical books I’m currently reading, as well as ones I’ll be reading soon. I have some current reads on my Kindle, too. I actually have a few too many going, but that’s how I roll! 😂

Some of the bookish goodies on the back! Bookmarks, bookish stationery, book sleeves, and notebooks!

Let’s just focus on the top shelf this week!

And here are the questions!:

1.) Is there any reason for this shelf being organised the way it is or is it purely random?

This is my physical copy to-be-read cart. I have them in order of “due date” for the most part.

2.) Tell us a story about one of the books on this shelf that is special to you i.e., how you got it/ a memory associated with it etc.

All of the books on the top shelf are special to me because they were offered to me by publishers or publicists, except for the Book of the Month copy of The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock. For that one, I generously received the electronic ARC from Harper, and I bought the physical copy from BOTM. Inside I have a lovely mermaid bookmark I bought recently from Etsy. More on that in a bit. 😊

3.) Which book from this shelf would you ditch if you were forced to and why?

None of them can leave this time! This is my ARC dream shelf!

4.) Which book from this shelf would you save in an emergency and why?

As Nina at The Cozy Pages told me when I last showed my TBR cart, I can easily whisk this down the street if I needed to because it has wheels! So that’s what I’ll do! I could carry it in a pinch. It’s not heavy!

5.) Which book has been on this shelf for the longest time?

I received The Dream Daughter and An Anonymous Girl back in June, so I’ve had them the longest.

6.) Which book is the newest addition to this shelf?

The two newest additions are The Kennedy Debutante (thanks to Berkley, I’ll be on a blog tour soon!) and Across the Great Lake (thank you Caitlin!).

7.) Which book from this shelf are you most excited to read (or re-read if this is a favourites shelf)?

Every single one! Like I said above, this is a dream TBR. I pinch myself when I see all these books.

8.) If there is an object on this shelf apart from books, tell us the story behind it.

I have some fun goodies on this cart! I have book sleeves from Etsy (the business has since closed), bookmarks from Book Tickets by AM and  CM Bookmarks . I love both these companies and highly recommend them! I also have bookish stationery from CM Bookmarks that I love to send to book friends! Last, I have some books for quotes and lists of books that I have never used. 😂 Maybe someday!

9.) What does this shelf tell us about you as a reader?

I hope it reflects that I’m grateful as a reader. Humbled and grateful.

10.) Choose other bloggers to tag or choose a free question you make up yourself.

Is anyone else using a TBR cart these days? I’d love to see yours!

I won’t tag anyone, but Shelfie by Shelfie is so much fun to do, and Beth is one of the most supportive bloggers around, so please check out her page Bibliobeth.

Happy Sunday, everyone, and happy reading! Jennifer THR
