Happy Sunday, friends! This post is a mishmash of ideas. The first is inspired by my friend, Bibi, who generously does a Follow Friday post on her blog along with Follow Friday tweets over on Twitter. Bibi is a huge supporter of other bloggers, so please give her a follow for friendship and always entertaining tags and reviews!
I’m also inspired by my long-time book friend, Traveling With T, and her It’s Literary Friday Y’all posts where she wraps up her week with southern charm and sharing the blog love.
Last, I plan to include some book mail pics, currently reading pics, and Netgalley/Edelweiss approvals. Those are always fun!
Sharing the Blog Love: ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
It’s easy to pick blogs to highlight each week, but also hard for me to draw the line with how many to share because there are so many amazing bloggers and posts out there AND because I do not want anyone to feel left out. Please know I am making my rounds! ♥️
My good friend, Melisa, wrote this stellar review of the charming book for dog lovers, Life on a Leash, and I knew I couldn’t miss it!
I actually won a copy of Life on a Leash from Simone at The Dwarf Did It, so check out her lovely blog and fantastic review and my book mail photo below! Thank you again, Simone!
Stephanie at Novel Fiction wrote a stunning 5 star review for Another Woman’s Husband by Gill Paul, a story about Wallis Simpson. I have to find time to read this book (and watch The Crown!).
My friend, Rachel, at In Between Book Pages was one of the first bloggers to warmly welcome me when I was a newbie. Her reviews are written straight from her heart as you can see with her review of The Deepest Root .
Fiction Fan is another blogger who welcomed me from the start. She keeps my TBR well-rounded and attempts to teach me some discipline with it as well, but I have none when it comes to TBRs. 😂 Her reviews are the perfect balance of literary prowess and pure entertainment, including this one, Poe’s Berenice. Her review is worthy of five stars, even if the book is not.
Ink n Paper is a newer blogger to me, but now I will not miss a post. Her reviews are lovingly thought-out and include a piece of her own stunning artwork that matches the emotionality contained in the book. I am in awe of her work every time she posts! Check out this review of Sold.
Kaleena at Reader Voracious is a gift to all bloggers, but especially international. She arranges book swaps to get more books in the hands of our international pals (outside the US, Canada, and UK) who don’t have easy access. She also writes important features like this one where one can learn about the reading culture in other countries.
Jonetta at Blue Mood Cafe is an eclectic reader like me, and she wraps up her week with a delicious post about books she has added to her TBR thanks to other bloggers. Check out her most recent Saturdays at the Cafe post.
I’ll cut myself off there for this week, but I’ll be sharing more blogs the very next chance I get. ♥️
Currently Reading:
Now for some currently reading pics and thoughts. I’ve just finished The Dream Daughter, and I will let the cat out of bag (the poor cat!) and say I loved it. My review will post on Tuesday.
I’m also still slowly reading (and savoring) The Clockmaker’s Daughter. So far, so good.
This pic includes The Lies We Told, which I’m finishing up today and will have that review posted on Friday. It’s a tense read!
Small Book Haul:
I bought these two pretties this week. I’m a huge fan of Hosseini and interested in anything related to Syria these days.
It’s no secret I’m an Anne of Green Gables aficionado and in preparation for reading Marilla of Green Gables, I bought this special edition of Anne. Can’t wait!
Book Mail!
Book mail is always super fun, and I was fortunate to receive some this week and last! Some of these pics have been shared on my Bookstagram!
Thanks to Little, Brown for this stack of three nonfiction and one fiction (psychological suspense) titles!
The stack below includes Life on a Leash from the giveaway mentioned above, and two upcoming blog tour books! I’m so excited about these!
I also received some bookmark mail! (I’m going to have to stop with the bookmarks!) Several will be for gifts and giveaways, though. All three of these small business owners are extremely talented, kind, with excellent customer service.
I couldn’t resist the new fall selections by Ashley! The two in the middle show how they arrive, wrapped in the pages of a book with a quote and washi tape! These beautifully colorful bookmarks are from Booktickets by AM on Etsy.
Can you believe how pretty these are?! This is a stack of some current and upcoming reads, and I decorated them with these new stunning bookmarks from Book Art Bookmarks.
This is an order from the amazing CM Bookmarks. She hand paints and stamps these beauties! They are gorgeous! I love her stationery, too.
The bookmarks are amazing! 🙂

Thanks, Jennifer. I’m getting there.
You would? Nothing professional. I find something pretty, or a nice saying, and I laminate them and make them into bookmarks. But I do love how they look in my books. I’m going to have to send you some pictures. 😊

You made my day! Thank you so much for including my blog and my review on SOLD in your wonderful blog. First thing in the morning, I check your blog for books to read and words to keep in my heart. I always find something that tickles my curiosity and makes me want to run to the store, when I read your posts. Keep writing and keep sharing your wonderful soul with us!

You’re very welcome, Rach! I always look forward to your reviews. That clock has been in our family for over 100 years! I’m going to ask my dad if he still remembers the story about it. ♥️

OMGosh, this is a visual heaven!! I wish the authors could see how beautifully you’ve presented their work. Such a lovely tribute.
Now, about the books. You make me almost want to return to print books just to use those bookmarks. You’ve some GREAT titles ahead of you and I cannot wait to read your reviews. I’m clearing my calendar in 2019 to catch up on those I’ve added because of you.
I love this Sunday post and thanks for the shoutout😍

Aw, Jonetta, thank you! I could say thank you a million times, and it would not be enough. Bookmarks are definitely one of the fun reasons to occasionally still read physical copies! That and the smell! You are welcome for the shout-out. It’s well-deserved. I look for your post notification each day, and I savor every word you write. Thank you again. ♥️

What a terrific post, Jennifer. You’ve outdone yourself. The photos you made of the books are so beautiful! I loved Anne of Green Gables and all the TV versions I’ve seen of it. I didn’t know there was a Marilla book though. I’ll have to look for it. Happy weekend hugs.

Lovely post, Jen! Everything is just so gorgeous and I love the bookmarks! We have the same copy of Anne of Green Gables here; I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. It’s soo stunning! ❤ Thank you so much for the shout-out! You're so sweet! I know you will love the book when you get a chance to read it. I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday! ❤ xoxo

Aw, thank you for the link and the lovely words! 😍 Now I understand why you keep adding books to your TBR – it’s so you have somewhere to store all your bookmarks! It’s odd – I must have acquired a million bookmarks over the years, and yet I still always end up having to use a bus ticket…
PS Tommy the cat says he likes being in the bag…

FF, I was using a receipt or any slip of paper I could find for a bookmark. I even LOST (or gave away by accident?) one of these luscious bookmarks with the handpainted cat. I had to buy another so I would stop looking for it! 😂 Now I have gone overboard with bookmarks, clearly, and I’ll be back to overdoing it on books! You know, you make a great point about cats and bags. I had never thought of it that way, and it truly is positive. Sitting on bags, inside of bags, chewing on bags; it’s all gravy to the kitters! 🐱 You’re welcome! It’s well-deserved! I savor your reviews and always laugh or smile! ♥️

I reserved The Clockmaker’s Daughter at the library. The cover is beautiful, I hope the contents is just as good.

Yes, the absolute best! I hope you enjoy Clockmaker’s too. It’s a slower builder, like all of her reads are, but so far the words are absolutely beautiful!

Yay! Another batch of awesome bloggers to check out! And Anne of Green Gables–both the books and the miniseries–was so much of my childhood and I can’t believe I didn’t know there was a Marilla prequel book coming out??! Ahh that’s so exciting!! I’ll need to check that out.
And WOW Jennifer, you collect a lot of bookmarks! If you don’t mind adding another to your collection, I could happily make and send you one? Do you have any favourite animals or characters? And before you say “Oh no, it’s too much trouble”, I ADORE making things for my friends. Plus I’ll get some art practice done! 😉

Yay, another Anne fan! I should be reading and reviewing the Marilla book in the next couple weeks, so I will definitely keep you posted, Kathy! I’m excited about it! Prior to these recent purchases over the summer, I could find no bookmarks, and then I overdid it. 😂 My hope is to share as many as possible, but it will also be hard to part with them!
Oh my goodness, I am over the moon that you are going to make me a bookmark! How special for you to offer, Kathy! One of my favorite animals is the cat- any kind, really, but usually the domestic kind. Woo hoo! Thank you for your thoughtfulness! ♥️

Love the ones with the little macarons and plants as well ❤
I have 3 bookmarks but they are pretty basic. One is metal, so that's kinda cool 😀

Your metal one does sound good! I was using scraps of paper or just whatever, so it’s nice to have a few bookmarks and many, many to share. Aren’t those Book Art ones something! Such a unique idea! Like jewelry for your book! I love those macarons and plants too! ♥️
