Today I have a review of Accidental Lawyer by Kim Hamilton. Accidental Lawyer is available now!
My Thoughts:
Accidental Lawyer is oodles of fun. The author, Kim Hamilton, was a personal injury attorney for several years prior to penning Jessica Snow’s fictional story.
Jess has just graduated from law school when she chooses personal injury law. It suits her goals and ambitions but is often a mismatch with her morals and ethics. As her star rises, her face is all over town, and she’s filming a commercial.
Jess is experiencing all the success she covets, and she even lands a brash sidekick, Kari, who helps her in the weeds.
Everything comes to a head when Jess’ boss is falsely accused of murder. Jess finds friends and camaraderie in the most unlikely of places.
Accidental Lawyer is so much fun. There are moments where I laughed out loud, and I loved the relatable and charming characters. There’s a nice, smooth pacing and some twists I didn’t see coming.
Overall, I found Accidental Lawyer to be a witty story with a nice side of mystery. Jess reminded me a bit of Stephanie Plum!
I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Synopsis:
Set in the brilliant and diverse city of Baltimore, Accidental
Lawyer, is a humorous, often irreverent portrayal of the
dubious practice of personal injury law.Jessica Snow has a crisp new law degree, a grinding
ambition, and a pesky moral compass that is often at odds
with her new job as an ambulance chaser. Her face and name
appear on billboards and buses throughout the city, and if
that isn’t enough to embarrass her mother, there’s a
television commercial in the works. Her elevated status has her wrangling with a local mob
boss, duping a drug dealer, and confronting phony clients.
With the help of her bold and brassy sidekick, Kari, Jess
develops a remarkable proclivity for this ignoble profession
by wrapping up difficult cases and finding new business in
unexpected places. When trumped-up murder charges are brought against
her boss, she faces her biggest challenge yet—tracking
down a killer. Along the way, Jess builds a new kind of
family for herself, her own tribe, made up of friends,
colleagues and clients, many of whom are sure to raise
eyebrows at her mother’s dinner table.
Have you read Accidental Lawyer, or is it on your TBR? Happy Reading! ~ Jennifer THR

Aww, that’s so cute! I love the books, but I’ve only read a couple. Stephanie is a bounty hunter, and this MC is a lawyer, but she ends up solving a mystery and it was super fun and zany! ♥️

Jennifer, Thank you so much for reading and reviewing Accidental Lawyer. I’m especially pleased that Jess reminded you of Stephanie Plum. Janet Evanovich’s series was what inspired me to write. I continue to enjoy your beautiful blog. Thanks again. Happy Spring. Kim
