My Thoughts:

The Best People is such a unique book! Paddy Moran is a former cop, now attorney, living in Houston. He quickly learns that his happiness will be a balancing act between success and recognition versus his morals. 

Also highlighted in The Best People is Pilar Gale, a single mom, who eventually crosses paths with Paddy. 

I found Houston to be such a fun setting. I’m not sure I’ve read another book set there, and especially a contemporary story. The Best People exposes the social scene in a satirical way. Overall, I found this story entertaining, salacious, engaging, and insightful. Legal drama fans will be thrilled with this one.
