My Thoughts:
One of my dreams is to visit all the national parks in the United States. I am fortunate to have visited several and have some in my very own state, but there’s so much more beauty and nature to see via these parks. These two are definitely dream books for me.
Even as I look through the books, I find myself making mental lists of which parks to prioritize. Also, I love how the second book has secrets of visiting the parks. I feel like I have the inside scoop at my fingertips.
All in all, these are a valuable resource for the National Park traveler, and I’m grateful to look to them for future reference.
I received gifted copies of the books from the publisher.
This is a fun challenge! If you make it to southern California give me a call! 🙌😂

I definitely will, Carol! I have been to northern CA, but southern is most definitely on my list. ♥️

Reading National Geographic books is like going down the proverbial rabbit hole for me. I get caught up and lose all track of time. I’m also a lover of our national parks and have visited many, with a rather long bucket list. My ultimate goal is to visit Glacier National Park in Montana.
Thanks for featuring💜

My pleasure, Jonetta. I am the same way and I love dreaming and planning. I have been to Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, and I definitely plan to visit Glacier in Montana. I will never tire of the beauty of it all! ♥️

I am sure these are amazing. I have gotten rid of most of my guidebooks in favor of online sources since they change so frequently. I’d still love these and I bet the pictures are amazing. I always have wanted to visit all the old railroad hotels, at least the ones still standing.

I would love that, too, Anne. I’d love to travel more by rail and see those hotels. The pictures are everything you’d imagine. ♥️

I would be happy to visit the US national parks, both via this book (it looks amazing!) and in real life. Yellowstone is top of my list, but there are many others I would like to visit as well. Maybe I should get this book, just to keep me going until we can start to travel properly again? Hopefully it won’t be long now. 😊

It’s such a treasure of a book, Stargazer, and surprisingly quite small in profile size but filled with photos and information. Perfect for carrying around! I still need to see Yellowstone myself!

I’ve been to a few NPs but I’d love to visit more and when I start planning, I’ll definitely have a look at these guides first! I’m curious, Jennifer, what is your favourite national park (of the ones you’ve visited so far), and which is highest on your NP wishlist?

I am so sorry I missed this comment, Kelly! What great questions! I would say Denali National Park in Alaska is my favorite. The mountain “came out” the day we were there (only a 33% chance it will!), and all the wildlife and experience of it all; I’ll just never forget it. I think I’d most love to go to Yosemite though I really do want to see them all!

Yosemite is gorgeous! And I really loved Bryce too. I’ll put Denali on my bucket list then! I would love to visit Yellowstone. We tried to squeeze it in but it was too far out of our way, we’d lose too much time getting there and back, so we decided to keep it for another time 😊

It makes me so happy to see this post! I have the 7th edition of the guide, and I love it so much. I love visiting national parks, and just dream of being able to travel freely again. I hadn’t come across the “secrets” book before, but now I need a copy!

I wish I had this book a few years ago when my husband and I started visiting the National Parks. I love your goal, I would love to be able to do the same. I need to figure out all the ones I have been to already. Great share Jennifer.

Thank you, Carla! I would love to see your list. There are so many in Canada I want to see too!

I will have to put together a list of all that I have been to and then a list of ones I need to see. I will include the ones in Canada as well. A future post.

Great reviews, Jennifer. I hope you’ll get the chance to visit all the parks that you wish to. I like the idea of ‘insider secrets’. Hopefully that info enriches your touring experience.
