Welcome to my stop on the Almanac 2020 blog tour sponsored by TLC Book Tours! Thanks to TLC for the invitation!
My Thoughts:
A personal anecdote about almanacs. The book fair at school was a BIG DEAL when I was growing up. My mom allowed my brother and me to pick one, maybe two, books and a bookmark, so we had to be selective. My brother had several interests, but I remember him especially being drawn to nonfiction books like the Guinness World Records and almanacs. I also remember both sets of grandparents purchasing Farmer’s Almanacs each year to predict the weather for their planting, among other things. My mom, to this day, will tell me when the Farmer’s Almanac predicts snow to get me excited. We love snow here in North Carolina! Well, I do! So, all that to say, receiving an Almanac for review presented me with nostalgia, and I’m grateful for the memories this book brought back.
Being publishing by National Geographic, you can imagine this is a gorgeous, vibrant book from cover to cover. Almanac 2020 is full of facts, stunning photos, maps, and timelines. It’s perfect for everyone.
There’s a special Earth Day section with sustainability tips. There’s also travel, culture, technology, quotes that inspire, and even some fun trivia (I LOVE trivia!).
Almanac 2020 is a book I’m grateful to have on my shelf for all the helpful information inside, and it’s a stunning addition to my coffee table, too.
I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Jen, my kids love almanacs and Guinness record books. And book fairs were a big deal for me too! We always buy the new Guinness World Book every year. I love reading your story here and your review. ❤
There are so many by National Geographic now and I don’t remember having that many when I was a kid. My daughter is reading a true series by Nat Geo right now about rescue dogs. Thanks for sharing this!
Happy Friday, friend. 😘 xoxo

My pleasure, M! I loved reading your reply! That Guinness World Book was always so fun! I was always scared my nails would grow long like the world’s longest nails’ person! 😂 How fun about the rescue dog series! I have another book from them next week that you’ll love too. It’s about the animals nearing extinction.
Happy weekend! 💗
